
Meet
the
Director
Justin currently serves as the Director of Bands at Pace High School. He received his Bachelors of Music Education with a double major in Trumpet Performance at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida. He previously served as the Director of Bands at West Florida High School before assuming his role at Pace High School.
Current teaching responsibilities at Pace High School include directing the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble 1, and "The Pride of the Red, White & Blue" while assisting with all other ensembles. Past ensembles under Justin's direction have consistently earned superior ratings at district and state level events.
Justin's previous experience in the performing arts includes performing in several local and institutional jazz bands in the Pensacola area as well as performing in several Pensacola State College musical productions as the lead trumpet player in their pit orchestras. He was also active as a participant in the University of West Florida concerto competition where he made second place out of many other musicians. He is continually active as a gigging musician when the time allows.
Justin is a member of the Florida Music Educators Association, Florida Bandmasters Association, and the National Association for Music Education.

Director
Maegan Jensen is a Pace High School Alumni and is excited to return as the Assistant Band Director to the Pride of the Red, White, and Blue. She earned a Bachelor's Degree of Music from the University of West Florida, where she studied both horn and voice. Throughout her time at UWF, she worked as a marching tech at Choctawhatchee High School and completed her student teaching semester at Baker Schools. Meagan was also very active in various performance ensembles at UWF, such as the UWF Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and Singers.
She also took part in a student led brass quintet, known as The Brass Collective, which performed at various events across the campus.

Maegan is an active member of The National Association for Music Educators, Florida Music Educators Association, Florida Bandmaster's Association, and The Florida Vocal Association.
