Parade Driver Reminders
  • The parking lot will open for floats to arrive at 8 AM.

  • All floats need to be ready by 9:30 am. We will start promptly at 10 am.

  • Check in when you arrive at the check-in table. From there, you will be directed to a staging area.

  • During the parade, all Floats must have a spotter walking at each tire of the trailer.  These spotters must be at least 21 years old.

  • Please keep a safe distance from the group in front of you. Walking/dancing groups are allowed to stop periodically to do a quick dance or cheer, but no more than 3o seconds.

  • When floats are turning onto Chumuckla Hwy, Pace Rd, or patriot Blvd., we ask that you do not throw anything. We do not want anyone running up to the float while it is turning and possibly being hit.

  • Be sure to save candy & Throws for the end! It is a 2.5-mile parade, and we don’t want people at the end of the parade not getting anything.

  • When you reach the 3-way stop at Patriot Blvd. and Stadium Road, please continue straight, and floats can circle back to the main parking lot to clean up your float and let people off safely. Norris Road will be open at this point, but the police will be directing traffic. Please be careful and follow the directions given.

  • All walking groups will go through the gate on patriot Blvd. and walk through the practice fields to get back to the main parking lot.  Please have parents meet in the main parking lot to pick up their children.

  • We have 8 officers helping us open and close the roads as the parade goes along the route. At 10 am, all roads will be closed. As the last float (fire truck & Santa) clears the road, that road will be reopened
